Cookie notice
The short version
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and nothing here that follows you anywhere else. That is why this site has never asked you to accept cookies: consent is needed for the cookies that are not strictly necessary, and there are none of those to consent to.
The two cookies this site sets
Both are set by our own server. Both are marked HttpOnly, so no script running on the page can read them, and Secure, so they travel only over an encrypted connection. Each holds a signed reference and nothing that describes you.
- seletta_customer, created when you sign in to your account so that the next page knows it is you. It expires thirty days after it is issued, and signing out clears it.
- seletta_admin, created only when the studio signs in to manage the shop. It expires after twelve hours. As a customer you are never given one.
Never sign in and you are never given either. Browsing, searching, reading the journal and filling a bag all work without a single cookie being set.
What your browser keeps instead
Your bag and your wishlist are not cookies. Your browser keeps them in local storage on your own device, under the names seletta-cart-v2 and seletta-wishlist-v1, and they are never sent to us: at the moment you pay, the checkout tells our server which products and how many, and nothing before then. Clearing your browsing data empties both, and neither follows you to another browser or another device.
Files your browser fetches from other companies
Loading a page here makes your browser ask a few other servers for files. Those companies receive no cookie from us and can set none that we could read, but they do see your network address and the fact that a Seletta page asked for the file.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces the site is set in.
- Unsplash serves some of the marketing photography.
- Stripe serves the payment page when you pay, on its own address. Whatever it sets there is Stripe's and is covered by Stripe's own notice. A card cannot be taken without it.
Refusing them
Every browser can refuse or delete cookies, usually under its settings for privacy or site data. Refusing ours costs you the ability to stay signed in, and nothing else: the shop, the search and the bag all work without them. Clearing local storage empties your bag and your wishlist.
Where this sits
The privacy notice covers everything else we hold, why we hold it, how long for, and what you can ask us to do about it. If anything here is unclear, write to selettalab@gmail.com.
